We tell you the things that you are doing wrong and that are killing your natural hair. There is a way to fix it and still prevent it from falling off!
There are activities that can be very normal in our routine and it seems that they even help us survive in our day to day life, but some are the cause of hair loss! We will help you Identify them and put a stop to them with the following tips.
1. You don’t protect it from the sun
The solar radiation makes natural hair age and get weak thereby causing them to fall off. To avoid this, it is essential that you apply antioxidant treatments such as avocado or strawberry masks, or hair foods, every week.
This will reduce the damage caused by free radicals .
2. After bathing you wrap your natural hair in the towel
It is a mistake that we have all made, but why is it wrong? The moment you finish your shower is when your natural hair is most sensitive and, therefore, you should NOT squeeze it in the towel, because all you will be doing is to chop it off!
The correct way to dry our hair is to press it lightly on an absorbent canvas and then apply a cream with nutrients to fortify and facilitate detangling.
3. You are not eating well
The lack of vitamins and proteins in your body causes the follicles to lose their resistance and, what you must do to strengthen them is to set your meal times and include anti-hair loss ingredients such as salmon, spinach, eggs, nuts and citrus fruits in your diet.
If your eating schedule is irregular, you eat fast food and you live on extreme diets, you are causing your hair to fall out!
4. You lack rest
We all run around daily to make living, spending more time at work and having enough rest. Your body needs 8 hours of sleep daily because this is the time it takes for the cell regeneration process. If you sleep less than that period, the body takes the stored energy and wears it down until it is reflects on your hair falling off easily.
The only solution to prevent it is to better organize your activities and rest as required. Try as much as you can to get enough sleep; for me, I try taking a nap during the day to compensate and complete my sleeping hours. I also cut down on spending time in front of television.
5. You live stressed all the time
The accumulated tensions also affect your natural hair and can even make you lose up to half of it! The stress assaults the immune system and attacks the hair follicles causing a massive hair loss.
In this case, we suggest you take a few days off, relax once a week and visit a hair dermatologist for a proper check.
Coconut oil to stop hair loss
Coconut oil is a product from which we can take advantage of many properties for hygiene and beauty matters. Its effects have also been shown to slow down hair loss.
It has the ability to reduce the loss of protein, the main component of hair. While drying, ironing and chemicals make your natural hair weak and brittle, coconut oil replenishes lost proteins, devouring all its strength.
Since it is low in molecular weight, coconut oil is easily absorbed into the hair shaft. Thanks to this, it replenishes lost moisture, protecting your natural hair from dryness and dullness, and stopping hair loss.
The three types of fatty acids that make coconut oil so special are:
- Lauric acid: Dissolves fatty components quickly, just like oil. For this reason it is used to get rid of fungi, typical of dandruff, and also bacteria. Helps reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood.
- Caprylic acid: It is present in breast milk and is known as one of the best oils to treat fungi, especially the effect of yeast fungi that cause candidiasis and is found in our intestines.
- Capric acid: It should not be confused with the previous one, as this acid has properties to kill bacteria and fungi so quickly that it rivals the previous acids. It also counteracts certain effects of lactose intolerance, and some intestinal parasites.
